The Department of Tourism looks forward to welcoming you to the U.S. Virgin Islands! Our recovery from last year’s storms has been very strong. Power has been restored, beaches and attractions have reopened, restaurants are serving up extraordinary dishes, and the USVI spirit is as warm and inviting as ever. Airlines and cruise lines have returned to our shores, and many hotels, bed and breakfasts and condominiums are available to overnight visitors even as our rebuilding work continues. The USVI yachting industry is unrivaled, and we have wonderful villas to accommodate groups large and small. More hotels will open near the end of 2018, and we are confident we will have an even better tourism product. Please contact your airline, accommodations provider and/or travel advisor for specific updates before you travel. The best way to continue help the Territory is to visit us! Also, please visit usviupdate.com for more details. #USVIStillNice

Life is easy in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and coordinating travel for your client is no different.
We realize the importance of providing support to all of our travel agent partners. In an effort to provide travel agents with the tools they need to sell the United States Virgin Islands, the Department of Tourism launched a new USVI Travel Agent University with Performance Media Group, publishers of high-quality print and online resources geared toward agents and suppliers. The five-part online program provides a comprehensive view of the unique vacation experiences in St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas, in addition to covering accommodations, activities and attractions, dining, entertainment, shopping and special events available in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The training university will also focus on special interests including meetings and incentives, diving, weddings, honeymoons, and cruises.
Upon completion of the training program, agents become USVI "certified" and will receive a Travel Specialist certificate and logo which may be used to market themselves as a "USVI Specialist". Performance Media Group also provides agents with an abbreviated printed version of the on-line course that can be used as a quick reference. As an added incentive, specialists receive booking rewards, priority invitations to in-market events and the opportunity to be featured as the agent of the month in the USVI bi-monthly newsletter. Participants also have the opportunity to win an all-inclusive trip to the USVI and can earn two Continuing Education Credits at the Travel Institute's certification program.
