U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism Welcomes New Nonstop Service From Tampa to St. Thomas on Breeze Airways Beginning December 2026
U.S. Virgin Islands (May 2026) — The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism welcomes new nonstop service from Tampa, Florida to St. Thomas on Breeze Airways, set to begin in December 2026. The newly introduced route further strengthens connectivity between the mainland United States and the Territory, offering travelers increased access to the natural beauty, culture, and experiences of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The addition of Tampa as a direct gateway marks a strategic expansion of airlift into the Territory, making it even more convenient for visitors from Florida and the broader southeastern United States to reach St. Thomas.
“This new route is a testament to the strength of our partnerships and our shared commitment to growing tourism in the U.S. Virgin Islands,” said Commissioner Jennifer Matarangas-King. “Through close collaboration between the Department of Tourism and our airline and industry partners, we continue to expand airlift into the Territory in meaningful ways that support both our visitors and our local economy.”
The December launch is timed to meet peak winter travel demand, offering an ideal escape for travelers seeking warm weather, vibrant culture, and world-class hospitality during the holiday season and beyond.
Additional details regarding flight schedules and booking information are available through Breeze Airways.
