St. Thomas Carnival 2026: Important Updates & What’s Ahead

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands — The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism and Division of Festivals are preparing to welcome the diaspora, neighbors, visitors, feters, and revelers to the island of St. Thomas for the 2026 St. Thomas Carnival.

Fresh off the crowning of a new coterie of Carnival royalty, including Safiah Wharton, who was named St. Thomas Ambassadorial Queen, the celebration is already gaining momentum. The Junior Calypso Show is now scheduled for April 23 at Carnival Village.

Rounding out the Carnival’s cultural events, Calypso Monarch, the Boat Race, and Pan-O-Rama will take place the weekend of April 25 and 26, ahead of the official Village opening on April 27.

Today, the Division of Festivals announces the addition of renowned Caribbean entertainer Farmer Nappy, soca star Gbm Nutron, and dancehall/reggae artist Busy Signal, who is sure to have the crowd celebrating with his hit, “Happy Birthday.”

These newly added performers join an already dynamic lineup of international and homegrown talent, including Busta Rhymes, R. City, Jam Band, Trilla G, and more, reflecting the vibrancy, diversity, and cultural richness of the Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean region.
