Economic Development Agency
USVIEDA is a government organization that acts as a unifying authority for the functions of the following agencies:
- Virgin Islands Economic Park Development Corporation– promotes local development by running two strategically located and rental friendly industrial parks on the Territory.
- Economic Development Commission– promotes the economic growth and development of the Territory by evolving its resources and maintaining local job opportunities. The EDC also administers tax benefits and the Small Business Program.
- Economic Development Bank –assists the local business community through loan programs designed to encourage new businesses or expansion of existing businesses.
- Enterprise Zone Commission – restores distressed areas of the community through use of development benefits including tax incentives and local collaboration.
All of these agencies operate under an executive board. This increases efficiency and maximizes the economic development of the Territory.
